The BW Energy consultancy is an extension of Mike Warwick’s decades long career
in the energy industry. About half of his career was working for electric utilities in
forecasting, conservation, renewable energy, T&D planning, and options strategies.
The latter half of his career was within the USDOE research laboratory system working on
cutting edge projects primarily for DOD and military services with an emphasis on installation
self-reliance and resilience, energy infrastructure threat assessments, and security tactics as
well as the “smart grid” and future distribution system architectures.
Mike has conducted and led the conduct of scores of installation renewable and conventional energy assessments resulting in many renewable energy contracts, including some of the
DOD’s first solar and wind contracts and on base development projects.
Although much of the DOD and and other agency work is client sensitive,
some of it and public presentations is posted on ResearchGate.net
